Empowering Youth Towards “Internet We Want”
Japan 2023: the School on Internet Governance Japan 2023 and will hold a commemorative pre-event on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, the day before the Internet Governance Forum is hosted by the UN. Educators of information technologies and international experts will be present at this event to support the young people who are shaping the future of the internet through offering them a platform to share their perspectives regarding children's online safety. The event aims to promote collaborative learning while stimulating conversations about how to link these technological advances with the principles of a free and open internet.

- hybrid(in-person/online)*All programs, with the exception of the documentary film screening, will be delivered online, including the morning workshop.

- The morning session starts with a warm welcome from the host and a brief overview of Japan local historical context and cultures Then, Cambodian youths and participants from Japan will participate at the workshop which is designed by Fujitsu Futures to inspire how youth think about digital rights and how to react to fake news and online bullying.
- The workshop will end with the youths preparing their thoughts or suggestion that will be presented in the afternoon session.
